Thematic instruction is an integral part of the Humanitas experience. Teachers from each subject area work together, integrating course content to illuminate a broader theme that allows students to see the connections between the disciplines. Thematic instruction builds interest, reinforces concepts, and challenges students to make meaningful connections between the different courses they are taking. At the conclusion of each thematic unit, students answer a culminating essay prompt in order to demonstrate all that they have learned.
