Fashioned in the tradition of the 18th century French salons, where philosophers, artists, and political leaders gathered to share ideas, sophomore Humanitas students attend the event representing an individual from the prestigious TED Conference, and share an idea that has the potential to transform society in positive ways. This event is an integral part of the thematic unit, The Rise of Reason: Transforming Social, Political, and Scientific Paradigms Through the Ages. |

Humanitas seniors visited Underwood Farms in Moorpark to learn about the workings of the farm, as well as the economic and environmental issues of locally grown food. Students also picked vegetables, rode tractors, and spent time with the animals on the farm. |

Humanitas celebrates 20 years at El Camino! Special guests include ECR Humanitas founder, Ron Sima, and Heal the Bay's Dave Weeshoff, who accepted our $1,042.00 donation from last year's benefit album, Love It All. Humanitas seniors brought the house down with an impassioned performance of We Are the World. |

In October of 2010, Humanitas students, teachers, and families participated in Heal the Bay's Coastal Cleanup Day and removed over 200 pounds of debris from Malibu Lagoon. |
