2011 Humanitas Salon
Fashioned in the tradition of the 18th century French salons, where philosophers, artists, and political leaders gathered to share ideas, sophomore Humanitas students attend the event representing an individual from the prestigious TED Conference, and share an idea that has the potential to transform society in positive ways. This event is an integral part of the thematic unit, The Rise of Reason: Transforming Social, Political, and Scientific Paradigms Through the Ages.
2011 Underwood Farm Trip Humanitas seniors visited Underwood Farms in Moorpark to learn about the workings of the farm, as well as the economic and environmental issues of locally grown food. Students also picked vegetables, rode tractors, and spent time with the animals on the farm.

Humanitas seniors brought the house down with an impassioned performance of We Are the World.
